The Chinese Poetry Competition Held to Celebrate World Book and Copyright Day

On April 23, the Chinese Poetry Competition was held in Wenzhou University Town to celebrate the 27th World Book and Copyright Day.

The competition was divided into two sessions, namely, original poetry recitation and poetry knowledge quiz. After the preliminary competition, 18 contestants from Wenzhou University and Wenzhou Business School were shortlisted for the finals. 8 students including Pan Jie from Wenzhou University won the award in the session of original poetry recitation.

This event was initiated by the Library of WZU, co-sponsored by the Publicity Department of WZU, and co-organized by the Library of Wenzhou Business School, Student Association Management Center of WZU, Readers Association of WZU, Community Service Center of Wenzhou Business School, etc. The objective is to ignite the passion of students for the Chinese poetry, classics of Chinese studies, and integrate poetry reading into their daily work, so as to promote the traditional culture, help build a scholarly campus, and enhance their confidence in culture.
