Wenzhou University is located in Wenzhou, one of the first 14 coastal cities that embraced the reform and open up policies. It is a key university strongly supported by Zhejiang Province in southeastern China.

In the past 88 years, Wenzhou University, through actively integrating itself into the rapid development of the region and the country, has grown into a university with dynamic impact across multiple disciplines and areas.

Wenzhou University ranks 100-180th among Chinese universities in terms of comprehensive strength and 3-9th in Zhejiang Province. In particular, the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings placed it in the range of 51-75 among mainland universities and 3rd in Zhejiang Province.

While vigorously expanding our international footprint, we endeavor to nurture high-quality and innovative talents for the globe. So far, we have built cooperative relationships with 125 colleges and universities in 27 countries and regions. Yet we never ceased our exploration and has embarked on a new development stage.
