Recently, the national finals of the 16th National University Students intelligent Car Race, hosted by the Teaching Steering Committee of Automation Major in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, came to an end. Under the guidance of Wang Feng, Zhuang Youyi and other teachers; Chen Junda, Cheng Xianchun and Ni Shijie, majoring in Electronic Information Science and technology of grade 18 from the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of our university, won the first prize in the Intelligent Vision group in RT-Thread Innovation Special Award of the National University Students intelligent Car Race. 

The competition is divided into RT-Thread Innovation Special Award, speed race and creative competition. A total of 2,317 teams from 450 universities nationwide participated in the competition, including Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Science and Technology of China, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, National University of Defense Technology and many other Project-985 universities. Facing these strong competitors on the same stage, Wenzhou University’s team of intelligent car “Chunhua Qiushi” stayed calm through the race and eventually won the first place in national award. This is the first national gold prize in the electronic category-A competition of Wenzhou University, also a historic breakthrough in this kind of competition for Wenzhou University. 

It is reported that the the National University Students intelligent Car Race is a multidisciplinary competition hosted by the Ministry of education. It is an exploratory engineering practice activity for college students across the country. The event is a category-A competition of national college Students’ extracurricular academic science and technology advocated by the Ministry of Education, and has been listed as one of the top ten events of the national college students’ science and technology competition.
